Logistics & Delivery · Active Program
Nationwide cellular signal surveys for a Fortune 500 last-mile delivery network
A national logistics operator building out a 70+ facility delivery network needed carrier-by-carrier, band-by-band signal data at every site before committing to hardware — not after. Netcom designed and now runs their nationwide RF survey program end to end.
Certified field technicians, dispatched through our Field Services network, survey each facility with calibrated cellular scanners — carrier, technology, band, RSRP/RSRQ/SINR, and GPS position captured at every measurement point. Results post to a live customer portal within 24 hours of each survey.

A signed 275-vehicle fleet program and dual-data-center failover architecture for a Southwestern power utility
A regional power utility in the Southwest needed two different things to survive the same failure mode. Its data centers needed Wi-Fi Calling to stay up no matter what happened to a single circuit. Its emergency response fleet needed connectivity for the exact scenario terrestrial cellular can't survive — a simultaneous grid and cell-tower outage, what their crews call a "gray sky event." Terrestrial cellular fails by definition in that scenario; only a low-earth-orbit satellite path stays up.
The fleet piece is signed and in active fulfillment: 275 Peplink BR1 Mini 5G in-vehicle routers with Starlink Mini failover, rolling out now — no longer a proof of concept, this is the largest live deployment in Netcom's current pipeline.
The data-center piece is the technical backbone that makes the fleet program possible. Netcom designed a dual-data-center architecture where each site runs a Peplink SDX Pro paired with a dedicated Starlink terminal, bonding and failing over between the primary wired circuit and Starlink via Peplink SpeedFusion. The Starlink path never touches the public internet — it's routed privately through a Verizon gateway via direct network interconnect into Verizon's MPLS, matching the trust level of the cellular path it backs up. OSPF path-cost failover handles geo-redundancy between the two data centers.
Netcom won this scope on hands-on WAN bonding and Starlink failover expertise, proven across multiple working sessions with the utility's own network engineering team — SpeedFusion tunnel design, capacity sizing against real throughput numbers, and HA/redundancy architecture, not just a channel relationship. See the broader pattern on WAN Bonding + Starlink Failover.
Next phase, not yet finalized: roughly 30 fixed substations, still being scoped by the utility's own engineering team — bringing total endpoints to roughly 300–350 once added.

Auto-failover connectivity for a mobile concrete plant that moves job sites every 6–12 months
A regional ready-mix concrete producer runs mobile plants that relocate to a new job site every six to twelve months. Coverage is unknown until the plant lands, so the connectivity has to adapt on its own rather than being re-engineered at every move.
Netcom's answer is a single all-in-one enclosure: a Peplink Antenna MAX-S housing a Peplink BR1 Pro 5G router and a Starlink Mini terminal together, roof- or pole-mounted on the job trailer and powered over one PoE Ethernet cable run up to 300 ft down to the trailer. Verizon 5G is primary; if the signal drops, Starlink fails over automatically — sub-second cutover, zero manual switching.
The load is light but reliability-critical: 2–3 desks running ticketing and dispatch traffic back to corporate HQ over a secure VPN tunnel, not high-throughput. The design is built to scale to every future plant the company stands up, all managed from one Peplink InControl 2 portal — live WAN status, geofencing and theft alerts, and bulk configuration push to every trailer as the fleet grows.

Proof of concept, built to scale
One trailer today, not yet a multi-site rollout — managed from a single InControl 2 portal so it can be.
